Commercial Services and Governance is part of the Division of Infrastructure and Commercial.


GIS

Western Sydney University's online Geographic Information System (GIS) (opens in a new window) is designed to be accessed by both desktop web browsers as well as mobile web browsers. This system contains web-based interactive maps, downloadable campus maps and floor plans in many formats, as well as reporting modules to access data about spaces and assets.

YMCA - Gym

YMCA Western Sydney University Health and Fitness Centres
The Y operates health and fitness centres on three WSU campuses – Bankstown, Kingswood and Hawkesbury. The Y develop and run programs from these facilities, and is committed to the implementation of programs that support students and the local community. Chartwells - Food Services

Commercial Services and Governance has engaged Chartwells to manage those food outlets currently not operated by external retailers.

Chartwells also provide a catering service for internal and external clients across the campuses, including Parramatta CBD, Liverpool, Westmead and Homebush campuses.

Booktopia

The University Co-operative Bookshop Limited (also known as The Co-op) went into administration at the end of 2019, and Booktopia has been successful in their bid to acquire the business.


WSU students and staff can purchase textbooks online via Booktopia’s website (opens in a new window) and search for textbooks by course code, course, ISBN and title.

Retail Merchandise

Commercial Services and Governance in partnership with Chartwells, work with Spencer Brands Group (SBG) (opens in a new window) to provide an online service where students and staff can purchase uniforms and equipment required by their schools or disciplines.
