Australian Veterans' Children Assistance Trust

BetaShares Student Grant

  • For the third year running, BetaShares, one of Australia’s leading ETF managers, is offering the chance for a chosen recipient to receive a Grant towards educational costs or resources to assist with their studies, as well as the chance to have their work featured in the Insights section of the BetaShares website and via BetaShares social media channels.
  • To apply for the BetaShares ETF Student Grant, you must submit a piece of work (maximum 1,000 words) that will provide insight into a new ETF you recommend that BetaShares should consider creating.
  • All Grant applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited Australian tertiary education institution and have at least one year of study remaining to complete their degree.
  • In 2020-21, the total Grant value remains at AUD $5,000.

Defence University Sponsorship

  • The Defence University Sponsorship is the perfect way to make university life more manageable and provides you with the opportunity to make a difference in your degree.
  • The sponsorship is available to undergraduate or graduate students studying an accredited degree at any recognised university in Australia.
  • As a sponsored student you will receive a salary to study, your HELP and student fees covered from when sponsorship starts and many other benefits.

Digital Marketing Scholarship

  • An annual Digital Marketing Scholarship is available to both Thai and International students.

Gallipoli and Bill Hall Scholarships

  • The Gallipoli Scholarship aims to perpetuate among Australians an understanding of the traditions of perseverance, courage and self-sacrifice which were established so indelibly at Gallipoli and on other battlefields in World War I and World War ll.
  • The Scholarship provides financial assistance to the most deserving and meritorious Australian applicant(s), resident in New South Wales or the ACT, or commencing the first year of their first degree at a NSW or ACT university.
  • In assessing suitability for an award, a 60 percent weighting will apply to financial need and a 40 percent weighting to educational merit. The scholarship support does not extend beyond one year.
  • Valued at $5,000 tax free.

Graduate Women NSW

  • GW-NSW Inc is an association of women graduates from universities and institutes of higher education throughout the world.
  • They award scholarships, bursaries and awards to support education for women both locally and oversea.

Hoskins Lithgow Scholarship

  • The Hoskins Lithgow Scholarship was awarded for the first time in 2006. The scholarship award enables young Lithgow residents to achieve their full potential as did Charles Hoskins, a pioneer of the Australian steel industry.
  • Applicants must reside in the Lithgow LGA and be an Australian citizen under the age of 26 as at 1st July in the scholarship application year. The applicant must intend to undertake a tertiary course of study.
  • The scholarship is to fund the cost of a tertiary course of study to a maximum sum of $25,000. This amount is available to cover all compulsory fees, books, stationery and equipment, as well as accommodation, living and travel expenses incurred in connection with the course.

Jelvix Annual Scholarship Program

  • The global technology consulting company Jelvix invites students and everyone who cannot imagine their lives without digitalization to take part in the annual "Go Digital" scholarship program.
  • Jelvix offers a unique opportunity for exceptional people giving away a $1,000 award for original essay in hopes to help ease their educational endeavors.

Mindmybag Technical Scholarship

  • mindmybag is a Melbourne based business looking to encourage & support the next wave on entrepreneurs.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited university, college, or technical institution during the current academic year or have a confirmed enrolment in the next academic year
  • One student will be selected to receive $1,000 in scholarship funds based on their submission for 'delivering a technical MVP (minimum viable product)'
  • The deadline for submissions is 30th June every year. The winner will be notified individually and announced on or around 30th July every year.

RAS Foundation Rural Scholarship

  • The RAS Foundation Rural Scholarships are for students of any age across a diverse range of tertiary courses who are passionate about playing a part in shaping the future of rural and regional NSW.
  • Scholarships of $6,000 for full-time or $3,000 for part-time study are available.

State Super Academic Scholarship

  • The State Super Scholarship has been established as a legacy to acknowledge the organisation’s 100-year anniversary.
  • There are four $16,000 scholarships available for Masters/Honours students.
  • One $36,000 scholarship for a PhD student.

Scholarships for Women: Empowering Future Female Leaders to Change the World

  • Toptal is awarding $10,000 and a year of mentorship to five future female leaders who want to change the world
  • This program is for ambitious women, 16 years or older, who are passionate about making some meaningful change for a community or cause they care about

The Coachable Scholarship

  • Coachable is a platform that connects athletes with private coaches. In addition to developing confidence & work ethic.
  • Coachable is offering a $1,000 scholarship for students enrolled full-time in secondary or tertiary studies, for each semester.

The Pinnacle Foundation Scholarship

  • The Pinnacle Foundation provides Scholarships for students between the ages of 17-26, who are planning to study full-time education at a public or private secondary school (final year) or public institution of higher education in Australia, for the purpose of gaining an educational or vocational qualification in any profession, trade or the arts.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate that because of their gender identity, sexual orientation or sexual characteristics they have been prevented or hindered from achieving their academic aspirations.
  • Scholarships available range from $5,000- $7,000.

Vision Australia Further Education Bursary

  • Awarded to students from NSW, ACT or Victoria who are blind or vision impaired who, for financial reasons, may not be able to fully participate in further education, providing adaptive technology to assist their studies.

Youth off the Streets National Scholarship Program

  • The National Scholarship Program celebrates the talents and strengths of young people across Australia who exhibit extraordinary promise – but who lack the support and resources to fulfill their potential. Every year over 20 young people throughout Australia are awarded Youth Off The Streets scholarships. Recipients are granted funds to assist them pursue further education and training – and work towards a positive future.
  • Recipients receive $6,000 towards educational or training goals over two years and can be used to pay for some course fees and support costs such as equipment, uniforms, textbooks and stationary.
  • Criteria: Students aged 16 to 21 inclusive as at 20 September on the year of nomination, citizens or permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand (evidence will be required), students with a clear need for financial assistance, students studying in Australia for the two year period of the program.

Australian Sugar Industry Scholarship

  • Applicants must be:
    • An Australian or New Zealand citizen; or permanent resident of Australia
    • A penultimate year student currently undertaking an engineering, science or technical degree at an Australian university or tertiary institution
    • Able to undertake three periods of work placement over an 18 month period (12 weeks in total) during semester breaks at an Australian sugar mill location selected by SRI. (Placements are: penultimate year; June/July and Nov/Dec; final year June/July ) and
    • Prior to the commencement of each work placement, the scholarship recipient must  successfully complete all medical tests (including alcohol and drug testing) and security checks required by a sugar industry company.

MADE 2020 by the Opera House

  • Also known as the Multidisciplinary Australian Danish Exchange, MADE is an extra-curricular program offered to Australian and Danish students of architecture, engineering and design (in the built environment) in their 2nd year of study or above.
  • Each year, five students from a NSW university and five students from a Danish tertiary institution will participate in the program in Denmark and Australia respectively.
  • Each student is provided with the equivalent of AU$6,000 to cover international airfares, accommodation and living expenses during their visit.

The AusIMM Education Endowment Fund Scholarship Program

  • The fund was established to provide scholarships bursaries and other awards to tertiary students undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate study or research in relation to minerals relevant disciplines or courses

Law Council of Australia

  • The Law Council represents the Australian legal profession on national and international issues, on federal law and the operation of federal courts and tribunals. It works for the improvement of the law and of the administration of justice.
  • They offer various scholarships that support younger lawyers.

Sydney Criminal Lawyers Criminal Law Scholarship

  • The Sydney Criminal Lawyers Criminal Law Scholarship was established in 2019 to encourage and support law students who are passionate about pursuing a career in criminal defence, with an emphasis on social justice.

  • In order to be considered for the Museproject scholarship, you need to write a 600 word essay about search engine optimisation or any other digital marketing specialty.

MADE 2020 by the Opera House

2021 Science and Innovation Awards

  • The Hon David Littleproud MP, Minister for Agriculture, Drought and Emergency Management, has launched the 2021 Award
  • The Science Awards encourage young scientists, researchers, innovators, farmers, fishers, foresters, extension officers, industry advisers and others actively engaged in the agriculture sector who have an original and innovative project that will contribute to the ongoing success and sustainability of Australia’s agriculture, fisheries and forestry industries.

John Martyn Research Grant for the Conservation of Bushland

  • Applications for the John Martyn Research Grant for the Conservation of Bushland in Sydney are open.
  • A $2,500 one-off award is available.
  • Honours, masters and PhD students are encouraged to apply by 31 March 2020, with winners being announced 30 April 2020.
  • Your project must contribute to the knowledge that will assist the conservation of bushland in Sydney.
  • STEP is a community-based environmental organisation with members from Ku-ring-gai, Hornsby and surrounding suburbs. With the primary aim is to work for the conservation of bushland in northern Sydney.

RSPCA Pet Insurance Future Animal Carer's Grant

  • The RSPCA is Australia’s most recognised and best-loved animal welfare organisation.
  • The grant, valued at $5,000, is offered annually to one person studying in the following areas: Veterinary Medicine,Veterinary Science, Veterinary & Life Sciences, Animal Care, Veterinary Nursing, Animal Studies, Animal Sciences, Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Technology and any other courses leading to similar careers as an animal carer or pet health specialist.

School of Medicine

Dr Timothy Steel Scholarship

  • In addition to being a top consultant neurosurgeon and spinal surgeon at St Vincent’s Private Hospital in Sydney, Professor Steel teaches at UNSW as a Conjoint Senior Lecturer, and also at Notre Dame, where he recently became an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor. He has decided to launch a scholarship for students studying Medicine, Medical Science and Nursing, to help them with their studies.
  • The scholarship is valued at $4,000.
  • To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited Australian Tertiary Education Institution and studying to be a doctor or a nurse, only citizens or permanent residents of Australia can apply, you must have reached 18 years of age to enter.

Winnestt Specialist Group Scholarship Program

  • At Winnett Specialist Group (WSG) we are committed to investing in the future of healthcare and the next generation of doctors. Dr Timothy Steel Scholarship

  • In addition to being a top consultant neurosurgeon and spinal surgeon at St Vincent’s Private Hospital in Sydney, Professor Steel teaches at UNSW as a Conjoint Senior Lecturer, and also at Notre Dame, where he recently became an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor. He has decided to launch a scholarship for students studying Medicine, Medical Science and Nursing, to help them with their studies.
  • The scholarship is valued at $4,000.
  • To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited Australian Tertiary Education Institution and studying to be a doctor or a nurse, only citizens or permanent residents of Australia can apply, you must have reached 18 years of age to enter.

  • The Australian College of Nursing administers nursing and midwifery scholarships for the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.
