At the age of 24, Maher is a young graduate wanting to make a difference. Maher is a Financial Analyst for Farmers Insurance Group, one of the largest insurance companies in the US. But it wasn’t always smooth sailing. After graduating from Western Sydney University in 2014, Maher travelled to the US, inspired to chase his dreams. Just two months in, he was forced to return home after struggling to find a job. Hard work and gritty determination enabled Maher to return to the US. Through this scholarship, Maher wishes to show students that anything is possible. That they have unlimited possibilities if they work hard for it.
