Honours Scholarship

The Honours Scholarship provides opportunities for exceptional students who have demonstrated academic excellence in their studies, and are either undertaking or intending to commence their Bachelor Honours year. This includes year-long embedded honours programs.

  • $5,000 per year for up to one year

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • new or continuing student

Program/s:

  • any Bachelor Honours Program

Additional:

  • have maintained a minimum GPA of 5.5 (credit plus average)
  • be in the third year of a Bachelor program and applying to study full-time in a Bachelor Honours program

Application and Selection Process

Applicants must provide a statement supporting their application indicating how they believe receiving the scholarship will assist them with their studies and future careers. This statement should give a sufficient explanation of the applicant's background and current circumstances to enable the University to judge their eligibility, need and merit.

Selection of this scholarship will not only be determined on the basis of highest GPA, but will take into account the allocation of Honours Scholarships within each eligible Bachelor Honours Program, to the maximum number of scholarships available.

Students who are transferring from another University to undertake a Bachelor Honours program are encouraged to apply.

Successful applicants will be selected based on their written application, academic potential, ability to meet the criteria, and, where appropriate, performance in an interview before a selection panel.
