Foster Care Angels Inc

Foster Care Angels is a Sydney-based charity supporting children in foster care. Foster Care Angels aims to provide support where foster kids need it most. Its mission is to help empower those children by supporting positive placement across New South Wales.

Living in foster care can be difficult, but Foster Care Angels know that small kindnesses can make a huge difference. Foster Care Angels have a number of programs each year, including care packages for children entering foster care for the first time, laptop packages for kids entering high school, and Bed in a Bag packs for children in residential care facilities.

Foster Care Angels also provide special respite weekends for groups of foster carers that have been specifically chosen by local agencies. Foster Care Angels feel it is important to support those who support these kids on a daily basis.

Applications and selection process

Applicants must provide a statement in support of their application indicating how they believe the receipt of the scholarship will assist them with their studies and in their future career. This statement should give a sufficient explanation of the applicant's background and current circumstances to enable the University to judge their eligibility, need and merit.

Successful applicants will be selected based on their written application, academic potential, their ability to meet the criteria and, where appropriate, performance in an interview before a selection panel.
