NSW Department of Family and Community Services

Community Services is a division of the Department of Family and Community Services (FACS). The Department delivers services to some of the most disadvantaged individuals, families and communities in NSW. FACS enables or assists vulnerable people to participate fully in social and economic life and build stronger, more sustainable inclusive communities.
Community Services' main focus is on supporting vulnerable families and keeping children and young people safe from abuse and neglect. We work closely with other government departments, non-government organisations (NGOs) and the community to achieve this.

Application and Selection Process

Applicants must provide a statement in support of their application indicating how they believe the receipt of the scholarship will assist them with their studies and in their future career. This statement should give a sufficient explanation of the applicant's background and current circumstances to enable the University to judge their eligibility, need and merit.

Successful applicants will be selected based on their written application, academic potential, their ability to meet the criteria and, where appropriate, performance in an interview before a selection panel.
