The Academic Excellence Scholarships aim to recognise and reward academically gifted students who have achieved outstanding results in their Higher School Certificate (HSC), or equivalent.

Value

• $5,000 per year for up to four years*

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Citizenship:

• Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible New Zealand Citizen**

Enrolment:

• current high school leaver

Program/s:

• any undergraduate degree

Additional:

• reside in Greater Western Sydney
• completed the Higher School Certificate in Greater Western Sydney
• demonstrate a high level of academic achievement through a minimum ATAR 90** or equivalent.
• The recipient nominates any Western Sydney University undergraduate course as a preference in the top three (3) preferences via the University Admissions Centre (UAC) by 19 January 2023.

Application and Selection Process

There is no application required for this scholarship. Selection of these scholarships will be undertaken on the basis of highest ATAR, to the maximum number of scholarships available. A course quota and True Reward early offer program quota applies.

Continuing Eligibility Criteria

• Recipients must remain enrolled at Western.
• Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 5.
