Cecilia Hilder


Profile photo of Cecelia Hilder.Cecilia was awarded a PhD from the Institute for Culture and Society, Western Sydney University in 2019. Her doctoral research studied Australian youth-led activist organisations, focused on the environment and the alleviation of poverty, and the ways everyday practices shape political subjectivities in the digital age.

Cecilia‘s research interests centre on the ways everyday practices surface in the digital age, and the affective dimensions of political engagement.

Cecilia previously worked in investor relations and government relations, with extensive experience in infrastructure provision and commercial property.

Cecilia has also contributed to a number of ICS publications, including reports on cultural infrastructure and the mapping of engagement and reporting on the Sustainable Development Goals in Western Sydney.
