Dr Luigi Di Martino
Luigi's research explores the opportunities and challenges of digital communication technologies in Public Communication. He is interested in the use of social media in public and political communication and everyday life, with a particular focus on the ethical implications of organisational listening and monitoring activities through digital technologies and AI. He is currently working on the project "New Possibilities: Young People and Democratic Renewal", where he is studying young people's climate change activism on social media (project link). Recent works also explore planned and unplanned events and their online representation.
Luigi is also actively involved in community services for the Italian community in New South Wales. He currently serves as President of Com.It.Es. (Committee For Italians Abroad).
