Buddha's Birthday Multicultural Children's Concert

Buddha's Birthday Multicultural Childrens Concert Lord Buddha’s birth is a time of great happiness for many around the world. As we manage our way through these COVID times, we wish to re-connect with communities and celebrate this joyous occasion through song and music from diverse cultures.

Nan Tien Temple and Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) Sydney, in collaboration with the Institute for Australian and Chinese Arts and Culture (IAC), are proud to present a celebratory children’s concert featuring some of the finest young artists from Sydney and NSW.

The impressive line-up includes the Buddharangsee Thai Community Language School, Devasya Raval, Guyan Guzheng Arts Academy Ensemble, the Australian Pipa Association, Harmony Symphony Youth Orchestra (Nan Tien Temple Chatswood Branch), Kai Lavier, and young classical virtuosos from the Sydney Conservatorium’s Rising Stars program - the Kim Sisters, Josephine Doan and Xingyao (Elsa) Li.

This multicultural event abides by one of the central precepts of Humanistic Buddhism—that of inclusivity and universal acceptance regardless of gender, race, creed and class.

We hope that this performance brings light, love and peace into the hearts of everyone present while instilling a sense of hope for the future. All proceeds will be donated to the children's charity,  Barnardos - Illawarra.
