Staff forums

Professor Denise Kirkpatrick, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic), and Susan Hudson, Executive Director, Human Resources, will host enterprise bargaining forums for staff.

Staff are welcome to join the forums on the dates below, at 9.00-10.00am, either in EB.3.33 on the Parramatta South campus or online via the livestream.

The forum is an opportunity for staff to hear about the outcomes of the latest enterprise bargaining meeting and receive answers to questions. To submit a question to be answered at the forum email EBfeedback@westernsydney.edu.au or complete the online form (submissions can be anonymous).

Staff forums will be held on the following dates:

16 March

Please watch the enterprise bargaining livestream video, of the staff forum held on Thursday 16 March. This forum summarised discussion from the meeting held on Wednesday 15 March, including a range of current leave entitlements that the University proposes to retain in the new agreements. These include flex, annual, personal, parental and long service leave. This includes retaining the current flexible work arrangements scheme and also including the additional partner leave announced last year.

30 March

13 April

This staff forum was cancelled, due to the livestreaming of graduation. A series of campus based forums for staff will be held in early May.

  • Campbelltown: Wednesday 3 May, 1.00–2.00pm in CA-22.2.04
  • Parramatta: Thursday 4 May, 1.00–2.00pm in PS.EB.2.06
  • Bankstown: Friday 5 May, 8.30–9.30am in BA-05.LG.15
  • Kingswood: Monday 8 May, 1.00–2.00pm in KW-P.1.58

At this meeting the University and the unions considered a number of clauses including misconduct and serious misconduct, unsatisfactory performance, committees and career development and planning.
