The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Engagement, Pro Vice-Chancellor Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Leadership, and Provost Parramatta South campus, is collaborating with the Aga Khan Council and the Community Migrant Resource Centre in Parramatta on a Harmony Day event called ‘Walk for Harmony’. International Harmony Day occurs in March each year and coincides with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The message of Harmony Day is ‘everyone belongs’. Therefore, ‘Walk for Harmony’ aims to engage people to participate in their community, respect cultural and religious diversity and foster a sense of belonging for everyone. ‘Walk for Harmony’ is a free community event that will be held between 10am and 3pm on Saturday, 7 April 2018 on Parramatta South campus.
