Description

The Bankstown occupation of 1999 was the longest occupation of a New South Wales University admin building in the 90s. After 14 days, admin admitted defeat - signing a six page agreement that conceded to 27 demands around improving basic conditions in the university. Through oral history and ephemera, Tim Briedis traces the history of the occupation, teasing out lessons and legacies.
