The Research Creations Showcase will be the fifth time that the research practices of the postgraduate students and academic staff of the School Humanities and Communication Arts, along with colleagues from the Institute of Culture and Society, the Writing and Society Research Centre, and the Digital Humanities Research Group, are showcased in exhibition and lightning presentations as part of Western Sydney University’s Research Week. For the first time, the event will be held at the Janice Reid Pavilion on the Parramatta South campus, and a selection of work from this event will be exhibited at the Female Orphan School later in 2019, curated by Monica McMahon. In another first, the event will host the presentation of the inaugural School Researcher of the Year Awards which will celebrate quality research in three categories of Traditional research, Practice-led/Creative Practice Research, and Early Career Research. We present the showcase again in concert with a Creative Industries Forum. The event includes lunch and Canapés/drinks.
