National Science Week - Tracking space junk, building brain-like computers and self-playing pinball machines

The International Centre for Neuromorphic Systems (ICNS) at Western Sydney University will open their doors to showcase the exciting science and research currently underway using biology inspired technology to solve real-world problems. During this 1.5 hour interactive forum, the audience will have insights into a diverse range of research projects from tracking space junk to building brain-like computers and self-playing pinball and foosball machines.

The ICNS team will take the audience on a guided and interactive tour of their research and projects, which will include presentations by leading Neuromorphic researchers, pre-recorded video segments, a walk-through of the research facility and live Q&A sessions with the research team. The audience will be left with a sound understanding of what Neuromorphic Engineering is all about and how Australia is leading the way in this exciting field.
