Description

In the new century J. M. Coetzee’s writings have undergone a radical and thoroughgoing reappraisal. The starting point for the day’s discussion will be to consider those aspects of J. M. Coetzee’s texts that evade, transcend or openly resist the imposition of national frameworks. Further, the workshop will consider those elements in Coetzee’s writing that have given it such widespread appeal and regard. Participants will be exploring the other worlds latent within Coetzee’s writing, both fiction and non-fiction.
