Badugulang and Learning Futures are celebrating the innovation in teaching and learning that you and your colleagues are now doing.

Come and engage with the outstanding work being showcased across Western, while networking and connecting with our progressive teaching and learning community.  No matter what stage you are at with your career journey, Badugulang supports you to develop, reflect and engage, whether you are a student, partner, or staff member.

The event program features

• The celebration and recognition of internal and external Teaching and Learning Award winners, with our keynote presentation by the 2022 Western Sydney University Excellence in Team-Teaching winners; a team which included Western Sydney University's 2022 Teacher of the Year.
• A staff discussion panel (facilitated by Western students) on the sector-leading staff decasualisation project including their experience of the expanded onboarding professional development support and the Engaged Teaching Project.
• Engage with the development of the new Assessment Framework; join a workshop where you can provide feedback and see how it can shape your work in responding to sector disruptors such as genAi, personalisation of assessment needs, promote student assessment literacy and discipline-specific needs.
• Parallel streams to spotlight the multifaceted sub-themes of the Active Learning Classroom; educators who have transformed classrooms into vibrant hubs of inquiry and engagement, Technology Enhanced Learning: exemplars of pedagogically sound placement of technology to enhance learning, Learning New Ways - New Platforms: exploring ways academic staff are using new curriculum elements, resources, and delivery models to deliver and support teaching and learning, and staff professional learning.
