Welcome to the Arts Career Expo: Create Your Future!

Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Arts (Pathways to Teaching) and Bachelor of International Studies

Whether you’re in first year or your final year of study, it’s always the right time to think about your career and future employability. ‘Going professional’ is exciting but there are lots of things to think about in order to be 'career ready'.

If you’re a Western Sydney University Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Arts (Pathways to Teaching) or Bachelor of International Studies student, the Arts Career Expo will help you find the information you need to transfer the skills you’re learning at university into a successful professional life.

Co-created by students like you, staff and industry, the expo will give you direct access to WSU academic staff, industry networks, professional organisations, such as TeachNSW, and future employers. By participating in hands-on workshops, presentations, employer stalls, panel discussions, and the all-important industry meet-and-greet, you’ll learn about the diverse range of opportunities available and how you can mobilise your degree and skill set to achieve your professional dreams and ambitions.

Employers, industry speakers and alumni will share their career journeys, hot tips, and talk about the power and professional value of an Arts degree. Experiential workshops will build on these discussions with a focus on employability, networking and career planning. You’ll also learn how to add job-seeker value to your degree, right now, through internships, volunteering and international opportunities.

And by attending, you’ll get access to our custom-designed industry showbag full of job-seeker goodies and a free lunch!

So REGISTER NOW to create your future and unlock your career potential. Because with an Arts degree you can go anywhere and do anything.

Speakers: Keynote: Professor James Arvanitakis, Workshop leaders: Wendi Lanham and Jamie Speight
