Doctor Ayomide Fadiji

Biography

Ayomide FadijiDr Ayomide Emmanuel Fadiji joined HIE in 2023 as a postdoctoral research fellow working with Distinguished Professor Brajesh Singh. He has 8 years of research experience in the field of plant-soil-microbe interactions, agricultural microbiology, endophytes, rhizosphere biology, microbial biotechnology, molecular biology, soil microbiology, microbial ecology, plant pathology as well as plant and soil microbiome. He obtained his doctorate in science (Biology) from the North-West University, South Africa, sponsored through the NRF-TWAS African Renaissance Doctoral Scholarship. In his PhD research, he analysed the effect of different farming practices on community structure, function and diversity of endophytic microbiome inhabiting the root of maize plants using metagenomic techniques and successfully published all chapters of his thesis before submission. He obtained his Master of Technology (M. Tech) with distinction in Microbiology and his Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech, Honours) in Microbiology from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria.
