Dr Sindhu Sheoran
Dr Sindhu Sheoran is the Senior Research Program Coordinator at HIE, where she actively engages with industry partners, develops high-quality proposals, and assists in budget structuring.
In this capacity, she manages research collaborations with industry and other funders on behalf of the Institute, aligning them with academic and funder directives, particularly in agriculture, environment, and biodiversity disciplines. She also provides guidance on all issues related to external research funding and supports the development and promotion of research funding opportunities across the Institute. This involves interpreting funding rules, assisting with grant applications and ensuring prudent budget management. Through her multifaceted contributions, Sindhu plays a vital role in advancing research initiatives at HIE, fostering innovation and facilitating impactful collaborations across various disciplines.
Before starting this role, Sindhu was a PhD candidate at HIE. Her doctoral research, conducted jointly in India (CCS HAU) and Australia (WSU), focused on examining the impact of co-flowering diversity on pollinator performance and crop pollination efficiency across diverse environments, including open fields and glasshouses. With a solid academic foundation, she also holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Agriculture (2018) and a master's degree (2020) in Entomology.
