Program Completion and Conferral

Congratulations! You have almost completed your studies.

Completing your studies at Western is as easy as 1, 2 and 3.

Stage 1: Completing your program

Program completion is when you have successfully met all of the academic requirements of a program.

Once all your subjects are complete and your DegreeWorks shows you have met 100% of your degree requirements, the University will automatically assess and complete your record. You do not need to apply to have your record assessed.

Stage 2: Having your degree conferred

Conferral is the formal process of the University awarding ('conferring') you with your degree.

Stage 3: Attending your ceremony

In the final stage, you will be invited to attend a graduation ceremony. Follow the ceremony guidelines and detailed instructions to ensure everything is ready for the big day, go visit the Graduation Ceremonies webpage.

Students are auto completed progressively as program completion requirements met. Below is the final date for students to have met completion in order to be conferred in the relevant round. Conferral date is the day you graduate. A ceremony to recognise your achievements and celebrate your graduation.
