Western Sydney University graduates make up 75% of the health workforce in Western Sydney. They have shown dedication, courage and care on the front-lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
COVID-19 has had an impact on everyone and our nursing and midwifery students are overrepresented in applications for emergency support.
Our students spend weeks in unpaid clinical placements helping in the community, in hospitals and health care facilities. COVID-19 has placed additional demands on their study and now more than ever, we need your support.
Without help, there are students who simply cannot afford the many essentials, such as uniforms, immunisations and basic living expenses while on placement.
Your donation in the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife will help the next generation of dedicated Western Sydney nurses and midwives reach graduation and enter the workforce.
Donations to the Student Assistance Fund will be matched by the University, meaning the impact of your gift is doubled.
