Music applicants

All music applicants will need to apply through UAC or direct.

There are two main pathways into the Bachelor of Music. You may either audition into the degree or you may submit AMEB theory and practical qualifications or TAFE qualifications.

What's it like to audition for the Bachelor of Music?

1. Book your audition

Auditions for 2021 are not currently open. Check back soon for further details.

2. Apply through UAC and Submit AMEB or TAFE qualifications

(a) AMEB: If you have demonstrated a level of attainment in 6th grade AMEB musical performance (instrument or voice) or equivalent, and 4th grade AMEB music theory and/or musicianship or equivalent, you will not be required to audition. Instead, you will click the Apply Now button which will take you to the UAC website where you will apply for the degree. You will be asked to provide your AMEB qualifications to UAC.

(b) TAFE: If you have attained a diploma or advanced diploma in Music from TAFE you will not be required to audition. Instead, you will click the Apply Now button which will take you to the UAC website where you will apply for the degree. You will be asked to provide your TAFE qualifications to UAC.
