Stockbroking and Financial Advising at Western

Developed jointly by the Stockbrokers and Financial Advisers Association (SAFAA) and Western Sydney University’s highly regarded Sydney Graduate School of Management (SGSM), this degree is set to become the benchmark degree that employers, regulators, and clients expect from practitioners who work in the stockbroking and financial advisory industry. The degree exposes students to modern theoretical approaches to financial markets, and incorporates applied subjects developed with individuals actively involved in the finance and investment sectors.

Students will develop the capability to prepare informed financial advice for clients. Most importantly, the content of the degree is informed by regulations that govern the formal educational degrees required by practitioners in the sector. This ensures that on completion of the program students have obtained a degree that enables them to become practitioners in this industry and adopt the required ethical practices.
