The course has been developed in consultation with practising building surveyors, certifiers and associate professionals to meet the needs of the building surveying profession. Western Sydney University’s Building Surveying courses have nearly two decades of history and are well recognised by the building surveyors profession and industry for meeting the changing building regulatory environment.
We take a balanced approach to education in the fundamental knowledge and problem-solving skills. You will gain an understanding of building regulations and their interpretations, fire engineering principles and various Australian Standards that become building regulations under the NCC.

Building Surveying at Western

The course is taught by leading industry experts, as well as academics at the University and it is a distance learning course, with flexible modes offered to cater for your needs.
The course is recognised by NSW Building Professionals Board (BPB) and has full accreditation with the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS).

*The tuition fees quoted above are the fees for the normal full-time study load of the course (80 credit points) per annum. International students will be subject to a variable fee regime; i.e. enrolled students will be required to pay fees during their course based on the approved fee for each calendar year. Fee changes (if any) will occur at 1 January each calendar year. Students who extend their course past the normal finish date of the course will be required to pay additional fees based on the prevailing fee level.
