Perform cutting-edge research using high-tech instruments, like the Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer, the confocal bio-imaging facility, and the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance facility, arguably the best in the Southern Hemisphere.
Experimental field sites
See agriculture in action at Western’s experimental field sites. These include farm dams, climate-controlled plant-growth cabinets, a post-harvest controlled environment system and physiology labs, orchards, a vineyard, an olive grove and cleared plots. Animals kept on campus include cattle, sheep, reptiles, marsupials and deer.
Crime Scene House
Forensics majors can collect evidence and investigate realistic crime scenes at Western’s world-class training and research facility, Crime Scene House. Facilities include:
