Procurement Governance and Sustainability
The Procurement Governance and Sustainability Team is responsible for overseeing, supporting and delivering key elements of the University's procurement framework, including procurement operations, supplier relationship and performance management, sustainability, reporting, and legislative compliance.
Our key service deliverables include:
- Implementation of procurement practices, systems and strategies that support responsible, sustainable and efficient outcomes, benefiting people, the planet, and the long-term value of the University.
- Procurement operations, including management of purchasing processes and stakeholder support to ensure consistent, compliant and efficient procurement activity.
- Provision of data-driven reporting and insights to support contract management, supplier performance, sustainability outcomes, spend analysis, savings.
- Supplier relationship and performance management frameworks to ensure high performance, compliance, continuous improvement, and mutually beneficial partnerships with tier one & strategic suppliers.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislative reporting requirements, including maintenance of the University’s contract register in accordance with the GIPA Act, Modern Slavery Act 2018, and other governance obligations.
- Development and implementation of sustainability-focused procurement strategies, including initiatives that address environmental, social, and ethical impacts across the supply chain.
- Identification, monitoring and mitigation of risks across procurement activities and the University’s supplier base, supported by governance frameworks, systems, and controls.
