The Centre for Smart Modern Construction involves an industry collaboration which aims to bridge the gap between the industry and academia through effective communication, partnership and impact. Professor Srinath Perera as its Director and Adjunct Professor David Chandler, Industry Engagement lead the Centre to bring this initiative to the heart of the industry. The Centre aims to maximise the potential of the Western Sydney construction industry, and beyond by responding to the challenges of sustainability, digitalisation, industrialisation and globalisation. The Centre has launched a program of research that addresses these issues. The
broader industry is recognising c4SMC as sector leading.
