International Youth Day
The UN theme for International Youth Day (IYD) 2016 is "The Road to 2030: Eradicating Poverty and Achieving Sustainable Production and Consumption".
IYD is about building successful partnerships with young people in finding solutions to the issues they face like poverty, hunger, substance abuse and unemployment. It also provides an opportunity for individuals and organisations to recognize the potential of youth and to celebrate their achievements.
At Western Sydney University we train our students with a global perspective and instil in them the desire to drive change. We provide a common ground for the development of ideas with the great expectation that the young of today will eventually change the world of tomorrow.
Western Sydney University encourages you to celebrate International Youth Day by having a conversion with students and encouraging them to participate in the decision-making process and the implementation of policies state and nationwide.
