Student Supports
Ally network
The Ally Network is a group of students and staff across the University who are committed to creating an inclusive and respectful culture at the University for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ) community members. For further information on the Ally Network please contact Office of Equity and Diversity.
Queer collective
The University's Queer Collective is for students identifying as LGBTIQ. These student networks help provide peer support, resources and a safe space to our sexuality and gender diverse students, and those who are grappling with questions or issues relating to identifying as LGBTIQ.
Queer rooms
A Queer Room, maintained by The Queer Collective, is located on every campus. For the location of the Queer Room on your campus, go to the Equity and Diversity Queer Collective web page.
Gender neutral toilets
Many buildings on our campuses include a gender neutral and accessible toilet. This facility is available for all students and staff to use regardless of gender and/or disability.
Student services
We are dedicated to supporting our students identifying as LGBTIQ and/or grappling with related issues. Student Services provide a range of high quality supports and are committed to LGBTIQ safety and inclusivity. Many of our Student Welfare team, Counselling team and Disability Service are proud members of the Ally Network.
