Energy Consumption 2023

A total of 225,133  Gigajoules (GJ) of energy1 (in scopes 1 and 2) was consumed2 across all campuses, comprising:

  • 174,128 GJ (78 %) from renewable sources including 170,140 GJ GreenPower electricity (76%) and 3.988GJ from solar production (2%)
  • 46,005 GJ (20 %) from natural gas, 480 GJ (<1 %) from non-renewable electricity and 4,520 GJ (2%) from fuel (petrol, diesel etc).

1 Energy: Includes electricity from the grid, electricity produced onsite from solar (Scope 2), natural gas from suppliers, transport fuel used in fleet  and stationary fuel used in groundskeeping and generators (Scope 1).
