Energy 2024

225,532 Gigajoules (GJ) of energy¹ (in scopes 1 and 2) was consumed² across all campuses, comprising:

• 170,922 GJ (76%) from low carbon (renewable) sources including 166,366 GJ electricity from renewable grid (GreenPower and TrueGreen®) and 4,556 GJ from solar production
• 50,142 GJ (22%) from natural gas, 447 GJ (<1%) from non-renewable electricity and 4,021 GJ (2%) from liquid fuels (petrol, diesel etc).

¹ Energy: Includes electricity from the grid, electricity produced onsite from solar (Scope 2), natural gas from suppliers, transport fuel used in fleet and stationary fuels used in groundskeeping activities (Scope 1).
