2024 - Better Together
Our latest report, Better Together (PDF, 11951.69 KB), marks a significant milestone for Western, as our tenth annual sustainability report. This year’s edition reflects on a decade of progress and highlights our continued commitment to building a more sustainable and resilient future across our four key pillars: Curriculum, Operations, Research, and Engagement. As we celebrate this ten-year journey, the report also features and recognises our leadership in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings (opens in a new window), our responses to rising sustainability challenges such as food insecurity and AI, and acknowledges the important work that still lies ahead of us.
2023 - Amplifying Impact
Amplifying Impact ( PDF, 23166.41 KB) (opens in a new window) celebrates our continuing global leadership in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. The expanded report highlights the breadth and depth of our collective sustainability work, as well as a five year reflection on our SDG impact. While acknowledging our collaborative efforts, the report is also upfront about the work still to be done regionally, nationally and globally addressing just transitions for a more sustainable future.
2022 - Unlocking Impact

In this years report we have profiled local, regional and international policy and practice work being undertaken, and included a new dashboard for our Sustainability and Resilience 2030 Decadal Strategy.
2021 - Reimagining Western

In this report we focus on how we have ‘reimagined’ our work across our curriculum, operations, research and engagement (C.O.R.E), such as tackling climate, undertaking cutting-edge research and transforming curriculum.
