About this Section

These Digital Humanities tools are free and accessible to all users online. Many have been created by contributors prior to this event or have been mentioned in presentations over the course of this symposium.

Heurist Network

HEURIST is a research-driven data management system that puts you in charge, allowing you to design, populate, explore and publish your own richly-structured database(s) within hours, through a simple web interface, without the need for programmers or consultants. We provide full support, including round-the clock email support, live workshops, online tutorials and access to a global network of Heurist users.

GLAM Workbench

The resources in the GLAM Workbench are created and shared as Jupyter notebooks. Jupyter lets you combine narrative text and live code in an environment that encourages you to learn and explore. Jupyter notebooks run in your browser, and you can get started without installing any software!

Digital Humanities Course Registry - CLARIN-DARIAH

The Digital Humanities Course Registry is a curated platform that provides an overview of the growing range of teaching activities in the field of digital humanities worldwide.

World Historical Gazetteer

World Historical Gazetteer (WHG) is providing a collection of content and services that permit world historians, their students, and the general public to do spatial and temporal reasoning and visualization in a data rich environment at global and trans-regional scales.

Zooniverse

The Zooniverse is the world’s largest and most popular platform for people-powered research. This research is made possible by volunteers — more than a million people around the world who come together to assist professional researchers. Our goal is to enable research that would not be possible, or practical, otherwise. Zooniverse research results in new discoveries, datasets useful to the wider research community, and many publications.
