MyIT (IT Services Portal)

Get help and support with IT problems via the MyIT Services Portal (opens in a new window). You can also contact the IT Service Desk by email or phone to get help for a range of computer and account problems, audio visual equipment loans and discount computers.

The IT Service Desk is now open extended hours and on weekends, so getting tech support is even easier.

Monday to Friday: 8.00 am - 6.00 pm
Saturday and Sunday: Closed

vUWS support

Check out the vUWS quick guides and interactive resources to help you use many of the functions you'll come across in vUWS. These resources can be found in the vUWS Information for Students site within vUWS. The Blended Learning Platforms team is also available to provide technical assistance with vUWS.(opens in a new window).

MySR help

Get help using MyStudentRecords (MySR) (opens in a new window) – your online student record to access and update your enrolment details, view your results, update your personal details and print your fees invoice (Statement of Account).

Library – Turnitin & Off Campus Access

The University Library provides a range of services to help you access Library resources from home or work, as well as the Turnitin assignment submission tool. Turnitin is a web-based text matching software that identifies and reports on similarities between documents. It is used as a tool to improve academic writing skills.

Minimum computer requirements for vUWS

If you've purchased a new computer in the last few years it's likely that this will be suitable. There are specific system and software requirements for accessing our online learning platform vUWS.

In addition to the computer specifications, we recommend the following internet specifications:

  • A minimum of ADSL2+ broadband service
  • An unlimited download plan as part of this service
