Soup Kitchen

For those who have been interested in volunteering at, or attending a soup kitchen, the University is following the latest advice from government and health authorities as the COVID-19 situation rapidly evolves. For this reason, we have decided to suspend the activities and events related to all soup kitchens at all campuses.

We are currently exploring digital alternatives for students to connect and collaborate with each other. We encourage you to login to WesternLife where you can connect with your peers virtually, and find out about any upcoming online activities, workshops and resources.

The soup kitchen has operated since the spring semester of 2015. It started at Campbelltown and due to its popularity it has now expanded to Hawkesbury campus, Bankstown campus, Kingswood campus, Parramatta City campus and also at Parramatta North village every fortnight.  Each week or fortnight during semester we provide a hot nutritious meal for students free of charge. All students are welcome so please pop in and check it out on your closest campus. We look forward to seeing you at a soup kitchen soon.

Soup kitchens are brought to you by Chaplaincy, Campus Life, Student Councils, Campus Provost and School of Nursing & Midwifery.

If you are interested in volunteering at a soup kitchen please complete this expression of interest form:
