Study Spaces

Western is taking important steps to ensure the wellbeing and safety of our students, staff and the community.

Our University operations, including teaching and learning activities and study and support services, are now online.

If you need to come on campus for a space to study or to access the WiFi, please note the following locations that are available and the amended Library opening hours.

From Monday 1 June, the Library has extended its hours at identified campuses to provide students with a space to study, access computers or the Wi-Fi network. Before heading to campus, please check the Library website for current opening times. Your current Western ID card is required to swipe/tap access to enter all libraries. Physical distancing measures will remain in place. During open hours, a live Digital Service Desk is available to speak to or video chat with Library staff working remotely.

Students can access library online resources remotely as usual. This includes e-books, journals, subject guides, tutorials, interactive apps, and MyLibrary. For more information, visit the library website.

If you have a library query, you can contact the Online Librarian via chat or email between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Study Halls

As well as the Library, additional ‘Study Halls’ will be available from 9am to 9:30pm, 7 days a week. This is to provide additional spaces for students to study and access Wi-Fi. These will be available on the following campuses:
