Student Assistance Fund
We understand that this may a tough time financially for students.
The University has established a Student Assistance Fund to assist those who are facing serious financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The fund can assist students with their basic living expenses, through grocery vouchers and modest financial support.

If you have suddenly lost your job, the University can also provide employment help. We can help you with identifying transferrable skill, upskill you through online resources and training, and proactively matching you to vacancies in other industries that suit your skill sets.

Our libraries will commence a phased reopening for students and staff from Monday 25 October in line with health advice. From 25 October, all campus libraries will be open from 12 noon until 5pm. On weekends, hours will vary across our campuses, so please check the Library Opening Hours webpage before heading to campus.
When visiting a campus in-person, you will need to bring your Western ID card to tap or swipe to access the library. You will also be required to check in via QR code, wear a mask inside the libraries, maintain physical distancing of 1.5 metres and abide by the capacity limits in study rooms. While in the library Security may ask you to show your ID, check in or vaccination compliance.
The Online Librarian will remain available remotely via phone, chat and email.
The Digital Service Desk and self-service machines will be available for use and you can now make a booking to use a group study room.
You can continue to access our online services – please use MyLibrary to renew your items and view current loans. We have a large collection of online resources available remotely, including e-books, journals, subject guides, tutorials, learning modules and interactive apps such as Visible Body.

TalkCampus is a free app that you can download onto your device to talk anonymously to other students from universities and colleges around the world. Access free mental health support, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
TalkCampus is a safe student network that’s all about support. This means you can talk to your peers about exam stress, anxiety, depression and a range of other matters. The app is available in 25 languages including English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi, Urdu and Bengali.
