Biography

Dr Ghodrat joined the Centre for Infrastructure Engineering, Western Sydney University in 2016 as a postdoctoral research fellow. She has been a postdoctoral research associate at School of Mechanical Engineering and Product Design, Swinburne University of Technology since 2014. Before Joining Swinburne University, Dr. Ghodrat worked in Sustainable Materials Research & Technology Centre at UNSW.

Dr Ghodrat is an expert in the field of energy efficiency technologies. Her research focuses on   the application of numerical modeling and thermodynamic analysis in development of new processes.

Maryam has also been working on optimising sustainable energy technologies with a particular focus on environmental footprint analysis. She has extensive experience in these fields and has worked with leading research laboratories in the USA, Germany, Spain and Australia.

Dr Ghodrat has published over 20 book chapters and journal articles in high impact journals and her applied research has led to developing number of commercial processes. She has been invited speaker for more than 16 national and international conferences.
