Infrastructure Health Monitoring with Wireless Imaging Sensory System
Infrastructure systems like bridges, buildings, roads and pipelines are prone to structural damages over their lifetime. There is a need for advanced infrastructure health monitoring (IHM) techniques to monitor the behaviour and determine the condition of these infrastructure systems. The main aim of this research is to develop multifunctional imaging sensory system for IHM by integrating various sensor techniques such as laser and microwave sensor techniques and apply this system for IHM of real civil structures such as pipelines and bridges. Further, wireless sensor network will be developed to transfer the data from the developed system to the monitoring station.
