CCGrid 2026 includes social events that let attendees meet, connect, and experience Sydney during the conference week.

Welcome reception

The welcome reception will be held at the conference venue, giving attendees an opportunity to network and connect at the start of the conference.

Date: Monday 18 May

Time: 6 to 8 pm

Location: conference venue - foyer

Morning and afternoon tea breaks are scheduled during the conference, providing additional opportunities for informal discussions and networking.

The gala dinner will be held as a Sydney Harbour dinner cruise, offering attendees a unique opportunity to experience Sydney's iconic harbour.

Date: Wednesday 20 May

Time: 7:30 to 11 pm

Departure and return: King Street Wharf No. 2 (Captain Cook Cruises), Darling Harbour

Attendees are recommended to travel by train from Parramatta to Wynyard Station in Sydney CBD.

Travel time is approximately 40 minutes by train, then a 5-minute walk from Wynyard Station to King Street Wharf.

Use the Opal card provided by the conference for the train trip.
