Study Australia Industry Experience Program (SAIEP)

SAIEP

This 2-week Industry Experience Program will engage International (Offshore & Onshore) students to work in cross-disciplinary teams to deliver real world industry projects with both Australian and global employers (primarily based in India). Students will have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge whilst they collectively develop highly sought after soft skills. The program is also a great way for students to gain valuable experience and fill in gaps on their resumes/profiles to help give them that competitive edge.

WHAT STUDENT BACKGROUND, LEVEL, DISCIPLINE?

You will be part of a team of 6 students, all studying different disciplines and at different Australian institutions (onshore or offshore). Some will be Masters students, others Bachelor students. The program is designed to be accessible to students across disciplines and is suitable for motivated tertiary students at any level.

WHAT IS THE COMMITMENT?

You are required to commit to 25 hours of learning & project work each, over the two-week period. You also commit to act as a professional ‘consultant’ to deliver a quality Client project outcome. Clients will be from a range of industries including Start Up, Education, Government, Consulting and Professional Services as examples.

WHAT SUPPORT WILL I RECEIVE?

You will attend a virtual orientation session which includes a client meeting, and have access to project learning instructions with content and collaboration functionality through the Practera platform. You will work autonomously and can also reach out to Practera’s Program helpdesk to help resolve any issues. You are guaranteed feedback on deliverables and receive a digital Australian Government certificate.
