WSU Paddl Games

  1. SEP 26
    Thursday 26 September 2019
    8.30am - 6pm
    Parramatta South Campus

Inspired by the popularity of hackathons, Paddl Games Challenges are high pressure, fun events professionally facilitated by Paddl Co. Using design thinking techniques, 60 selected WSU students and graduates will work alongside 10 local businesses, Westpac employees, WSU staff and Paddl Games facilitators in Innovation Teams of 10 people.

This game's challenge

"How might Westpac assist you to overcome inhibitors to growth in your business?"

In this challenge your team will be required to think “outside of the box”, brainstorm, ideate and design innovative ideas around financial services and their impacts on small and medium businesses. Each team will be matched to a business to work collaboratively and come up with innovative ideas relating to this challenge.

You will e-meet your team members and business before the day via an online chat tool called Slack (it’s easy to use and a great way to stay in contact) and have a chance to introduce yourselves, discuss game day strategy and chose a team name.

  • The Paddl Games facilitators will support and guide you every step of the way so you will be successful (and have lots of fun!). You will be provided with documentation and plenty of opportunities to ask lots of questions to the Paddl Games team
