Gwyneth Howell
Gwyneth Howell is an Associate Professor of Public Relations from the School of Humanities and Communication Arts. Gwyneth's commitment to student learning was recently recognised when she was awarded a Distinguished Teaching Fellowship with the University.
 
How long have you worked at Western and what's the best thing about working here?
I have been here for 12 years and I am immensely proud of our program, our staff, our students and our graduates. 
 
Which campus are you based on?
Parramatta.
 
What is your favourite place on one of the Western campuses?
The new library at Kingswood!
 
When you're not at work, what will we find you doing?

Anything outdoors that includes my boys and our dog, such as school and club sport – fun for the whole family!
 
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to help other people.
 
What was your first job?
In fashion for Lydia Pearson, now Easton Pearson.
 
What has been your greatest success?

Apart from my family, it has to be empowering our graduates to believe and succeed.
 
If you could go to just one country in the world for a vacation, which country would it be and why?

Russia – I would like to see a real wolverine!

Shadow of the Moon.
