How long have you worked at uwsconnect and what’s the best thing about working here?
I have worked at uwsconnect for more than three-and-a-half years now.

The best thing about my role is the variety of work, spanning across print and digital mediums. One moment I can be creating a brochure for student clubs, the next I can be working on vehicle wraps, website designs or annual reports.

I work with a simple objective in mind: to create designs that engage and inform, while capturing the imagination of the viewer with a well-developed and visually appealing concept.

What is your favourite place on one of the UWS campuses and why?
My favourite UWS spot is the Boilerhouse on the Parramatta campus. It’s a lovely place to relax for lunch when I’m over that way.

When you’re not at work, what will we find you doing?
I live a reasonably active lifestyle, so when I’m not at work I can be found at the gym, visiting family and friends or heading out for a walk.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Originally I saw myself becoming an artist when I was younger – I was always sketching in notebooks and scribbling onto pieces of paper….luckily, I’m now paid to do that!

What was your first job?
My first job was working in a takeaway store after school.

What has been your greatest success?
Conquering my studies at UWS and TAFE were definitely high points, as was landing a job at uwsconnect.

If you could go to just one country in the world for a vacation, which country would it be and why?
I would love to travel to Italy. There is such a rich culture to explore there. Italy is definitely on my bucket list.

What is your favourite book, movie and/or album?
Bram Stoker’s Dracula is my favourite book and Alien is my favourite film (bit of a horror buff here).

If you could invite anyone to dinner who would it be and why?
Alex Trochut is a huge inspiration for me! He is a typographic and illustrative designer from Spain. I would love to pick his brain over a few of his designs.
