Staff snapshot: Jenny Hannan

Jenny Hannan is the Director of Engagement and International in the School of Business, Dean’s Unit, based on the Parramatta campus. Here, Jenny tells us about her role at UWS.

When did you start working at UWS and what was your first role?
I started in 2008 as Senior Manager, Strategy and Operations.

Describe your current job/role in 100 words or less: 
My work involves connecting the School of Business to the wider community and professions.  As such, I work with Engagement units; participate in mentoring schemes; work with local councils, chambers and the business community with the SmallBiz Connect program; develop and implement online programs particularly relating to small business development; and represent the School of Business on local boards and at events.

What’s the best thing about your job? 
Working with the business community.

What do you love most about working at UWS?
The opportunity to work in diverse areas relating to Engagement.

What are you going to be working on in the next 12 months?
Developing a Business Clinic as part of an internship initiative.
