MyVoice – have your say!

MyVoice

UWS wants staff to have their say and be involved in delivering real change and improvements at UWS through the MyVoice Staff Engagement Survey.

The MyVoice survey is open from Monday 19 March to Friday 30 March 2012 and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. All ongoing and fixed term staff will receive an email invitation to complete the online survey.

Feedback will provide an indication of levels of job satisfaction, organisational effectiveness and work practices and areas for improvement. The results will also inform strategic planning and decision making, and help us to make improvements where there is an identified gap or need at both the organisational and School and work unit level.

Voice Project Pty Ltd who specialises in staff engagement surveys, will administer the survey so that individual responses are confidential and anonymous. Voice Project will present the results to the University Executive who will then make the summary results available to all staff.

Aggie Lim, Director of the Office of Organisational Development, says it’s important for staff to have their say and provide feedback through the MyVoice survey.

‘UWS is committed to making a difference to the work experience and careers of our staff. MyVoice is a genuine opportunity for staff to voice their opinions and concerns, as well as their ideas for making UWS a great place to work,’ says Aggie.

‘UWS has grown and achieved many things and we know that our continuing success is dependent on both engaging with our staff and having our staff engaged in the growth and direction of UWS. We want to know what is working well and what we could be doing differently. Your feedback through MyVoice will help us achieve this.

‘The survey has been conducted in 35 universities so there will be some good benchmarking data. This also means we need high levels of participation to ensure we hear from as many people as possible to ensure we are hearing the staff voice and focus on the areas that need improvement as well as celebrate the areas that we are doing well in.’

To value and recognise staff participation in the MyVoice survey, for every survey completed, UWS will donate $5 to student scholarships through the Staff Giving program. Other great reasons to complete the survey include being in the running to win an iPod Nano or a $50 gift voucher.
