Access to software

In addition to the freely available support within the Microsoft , Western also provides licensed and supported Assistive Technology (AT) software for students. Please note the Terms and Conditions for each software.

Genio Note Taking

If recording of classes is part of your Academic Reasonable Adjustment Plan (ARAP), complete the Software Access Request form below.

Natural Reader

If you have an Academic Reasonable Adjustment Plan (ARAP) and have been referred to the AT Service by a Disability Advisor, complete the Software Access Request form below.

Dragon Professional

If you would like to use Dragon for dictation or hands-free use of your computer, complete the Software Access Request form below.

Please note that Dragon is not supported on Mac. Mac users are encouraged to explore Apple's Voice Control tool (opens in a new window) available through the device operating system.

Other Technologies

Other Assistive Technologies, like ZoomText and JAWS may be available on a case-by-case basis. Access to these technologies will be arranged in collaboration with the Disability Service.
