This is an audio-visual exhibition produced by ACIAC in partnership with Jeffrey Chen Art Studio, Art Wonderland Studio and Bingbing Art Studio. To find out how children in particular are responding to the outbreak of coronavirus, a competition was launched calling for artworks by school children in the theme of the global pandemic. Of over 80 entries, 20 top artworks have been selected for this exhibition.

An audio and visual version of Heli Yang Exhibition: A New Life. Heli is an emerging Chinese Australian artist based in Sydney. The 23 paintings in this exhibition show 23 moments that inspired Heli's artworks, telling the stories of three generations in a migrant family.

The artist Zhou Xiaoping has spent the last 30 years in actively engaging with Aboriginal communities in Arnhem Land and the Kimberley, learning from Indigenous art and culture, and has developed his own unique style of art. This exhibition reflects the connection between people, land and spirit drawing on the artist’s personal experiences in collaborating with Aboriginal artists such as Jimmy Pike and Johnny Bulunbulun.

The exhibition is comprised of three distinct series of work from Guan Wei’s personal collection. “Essence, Energy, Spirit”, which aptly captures the recurring themes of Guan Wei's art practice, reminds us of the consequences of a fast paced, technology driven, western lifestyle, which can be transcended, if we remember our essence, energy and spirit and how to nurture them.

Yan Zhang, Professor of Artificial Intelligence in the School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics at Western Sydney University, where he leads the Artificial Intelligence Research Group (AIRG), is also a photographer, and an outdoor and mountaineering enthusiast. This photography exhibition shows different mountains through Zhang’s camera lens.
