During the Autumn mid-session break (4 - 22 July) you can attend a free on-campus workshop to help you develop your academic writing and referencing skills. The workshops are led by experienced literacy tutors, and will cover essential skills such as academic style of writing, paragraph and essay structure, critical thinking, researching and referencing, and more.
If you cannot attend on campus, you could select the online Zoom workshop option (day and evening sessions available).
If you are needing to work on your grammar and sentence structure, you can also register for the Grammar Workshop either on-campus or online.
Note these workshops are only available for enrolled Western Sydney University students. Students attending The College are not eligible to register. However, College students will cover the required literacy skills in their subjects, and have access to the Online Writing Lab on vUWS.

THE GRAMMAR WORKSHOP The 2-day grammar workshop focuses on grammar concepts such as:
- avoiding common sentence errors - the use of pronouns - subject-verb agreement in sentences - sentence structure and clauses - the use of articles in English (a, an, the) The workshop also provides time for a friendly tutor to give you some feedback on your writing. The workshop will run from 9:30am to 3:00pm each day.
If you cannot attend on-campus, you could select the Grammar Online Workshop and work at your own pace through a number of grammar modules.
